How much energy can you save?

Do you know about Earth Hour?  On March 31st at 8 pm local time, Earth Hour will be observed?  As we are growing in our concern for the earth and its resources, we have a chance to make a difference.  If every household would turn off the lights for one hour on March 31st over 16,610 tons of carbon would not be consumed.  The sum effect is that resources would be conserved, the atmosphere and our lungs will be relieved of the task of cleaning the residue out of the air and it will be saved for another day.
What else could you do at 8:00 pm on March 31 to add to the health of our planet?  Plant some spring flowers, get the early lettuce and other vegetables in your garden?  Or just take a hike to enjoy the longer day!   Make your contribution to wise stewardship of resources.
