How much energy can you save?

Do you know about Earth Hour?  On March 31st at 8 pm local time, Earth Hour will be observed?  As we are growing in our concern for the earth and its resources, we have a chance to make a difference.  If every household would turn off the lights for one hour on March 31st over 16,610 tons of carbon would not be consumed.  The sum effect is that resources would be conserved, the atmosphere and our lungs will be relieved of the task of cleaning the residue out of the air and it will be saved for another day.
What else could you do at 8:00 pm on March 31 to add to the health of our planet?  Plant some spring flowers, get the early lettuce and other vegetables in your garden?  Or just take a hike to enjoy the longer day!   Make your contribution to wise stewardship of resources.

Monday - the first day of a new summer!!

What a great day at camp!  A great summer staff convened yesterday to begin training for a wonderful set of summer experiences.  They come from all across the US and three other continents.  All  come with a great Christian faith to share and lots of energy to help children grown as human beings and in their understanding of Christian Faith.
We are organizing our faith study around the theme "On the Way".  There will be lots of activity and conversation as we consider how God meets us on the way, supports us on the way and challenges us to take new ways on our life journeys.
